First we correct homework.
First we correct homework.
We hand out the the worksheets we collected last Friday. You should correct your errors looking at this answer sheet:
Today we have a new Grammar Lesson. We talk about the past perfect tense. (had + past participle):
She had lost her keys.
I'd labelled all the boxes.
We hadn´t finished our homework.
Had they forgotten their passports?
This is another tense we can use in combination with the past simple to talk about two events that took place in the past.
We use the past perfect to talk about the event that happened first.
When the van arrived, we hadn't packed our suitcases.
We have a look at the story on pages 96-97 and we do activity 1 (page 98) orally. Then we find other examples of past perfect tense.
We can watch this video to understand this better:
We do activities 2 and 3 orally.
HOMEWORK
Do AB page 86 activities 1, 2 and 3.
Do AB page 127 activity 2.
