 Social Science

Monday 7th November 2022

Open Books on Pages 44 and 45 again. We use some minutes to revise the main ideas learnt on Thursday.

Copy the questions for activity 3. Listen and answer.

Then we take a Quiz. Write numbers 1 to 5. Listen and write True or False

Next we correct all the activities of the chapter.

Before starting a new chapter, we are going to have a look at this famous painting by Goya that represents the Family of Carlos IV, The Bourbon King we studied in fifth Grade (the end of the 18th century). Carlos IV was the king of Spain when the French Revolution took place in France in 1789.

Some characters in this painting played an important role in what we are learning in this chapter of the unit.

We open our book at pages 46, 47. There we can see another painting by Goya. The Third of May 1808.

Los fusiilamientos del  3 de mayo. GOYA

It is related to this other painting we saw at the beginning of the unit:

El 2 de mayo de 1808 o la carga de los mamelucos. GOYA

All these paintings and many others can be seen at the Prado Museum.

Before we read the chapter, let's have a look at these videos

We read page 46 in our books as we listen

Then we watch this video about the First Constitution:
